Makai Riding School offers lessons for beginner riders, aged 6 and older, at the Sunflower Pony Club of Naxxar, Malta.
This clean, comfortable and tranquil facility makes learning the sport a pleasure! Our goal is for each rider to experience the joy in having a partnership with horses.
The instructor, Katie Pratt, is from the USA and has 15 years' experience working with horses and ponies. This experience spans competing in the jumping arena, working for top Oregon trainers, and teaching summer camps. From this she has learned that hard work, humility, a good attitude and, above all, respect for the horse are key to enjoying and succeeding in one of the world's greatest sports.

OUR SERVICES
Riding Lessons
Private lessons are offered for ages 6 and up. You can choose from 30 minute or 45 minute lessons. Please be sure to wear long pants, sunscreen and protective footwear. Helmets will be provided.
Pony Club
Sunday mornings starting October 9th, Pony Club activities will begin! We will follow the United States Pony Club horsemanship manual curriculum: learning and practising topics such as handling, nutrition, shoeing, breeds, health and tack.
Pony Clinic
For those kids aged 2 and up, this is a great way to become introduced to our ponies! Each child has a riding session oriented towards developing balance and coordination skills, as well as time to interact with, feed and brush the ponies.
Summer Camps
Our 2016 summer camps (5 weeks throughout July & September) are currently full ... be sure to check back next year!
